Step by step guide on how to turn your USB dongle into a wireless Wi-Fi hotspot


Most of the peoples thinks that the command prompt is a simple old programme it is used for only simple DOS commands but we are wrong CMD command prompt is a useful software and all the peoples doesn't know about the useful features of this programme. So today I will tell you about a very useful command prompt feature that's how we can convert our pc/laptop into a wi fi hotspot using a simple CMD command lets do it.


Step 1: Open the DOS terminal Click on the start menu and simply type CMD as follow the command prompt will be opened on the window screen 



After opening it this will looks like this



Step 2: Check availability
If you want to create Wi Fi Hotspot firstly you have to check whether the hosted network mode is supported by your machine or not…
Enter this command to check availability..
CMD Command      ( netsh wlan show drivers)
If you find Hosted network supported : Yes then only you can create Wi Fi Hotspot


Step 3:Creating WiFi Hotspot

Now type the following command to create WiFi hotspot:

Command--
"netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=Name key=8CharacterKey"
8character key means your password for the wifi network


Replace “Name” with the name you’d like to use for your custom network, and “8CharacterKey” with a password that’s a little harder to guess.
Start Wi-Fi hotspot by this cmd:
netsh wlan start hostednetwork



Step 4: No Network Access ? or No Internet Access?

Now click Control Panel — Network and Internet — Network and Sharing Center
Click on Internet Connection you want to share (Broadband Connection)
Properties — Sharing Tab-
Check Allow other network users to connect through this computer’s internet connection..
And in drop down list select your virtual adapter’s (WiFi Hotspot’s) connection..
You are done with your WiFi Hotspot.
